Personal Profile

Public service has been the common thread throughout my life. Whether in the classroom, at South Euclid City Hall, in church, or in our neighborhood libraries, serving the public is a true passion of mine.

I currently serve as a Councilwoman-at-Large for South Euclid, where I attend council meetings, vote on ordinances and resolutions, and help pass and maintain the city budget. As Chair of the Service Committee, I focus on thoughtful, transparent policymaking and ensuring our local laws reflect the needs and values of our residents.

In addition to my work on council; I am a Children’s Librarian, where I design and lead youth programs, manage and evaluate collections, support families with research, and conduct outreach to schools and community organizations. I previously served as a substitute teacher right here in our South Euclid-Lyndhurst Schools, working directly with students and educators across grade levels.

My professional background spans public records management, customer service, and information access. These are roles that required accuracy, accountability, and public trust. I have built my career on reliability, preparation, and respect for the people I serve.

Community involvement is a cornerstone of my life. I am a longtime PTA President, a previous Cub Scout leader, a member of the South Euclid Tree Commission, a Sunday school teacher, and a trustee and curator for the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Historical Society. These roles have allowed me to work closely with families, seniors, volunteers, and neighbors.

Fiscal responsibility is another value that guides my leadership. I serve on my church’s regional audit committee, conducting financial audits and ensuring accountability. Maintaining and passing a balanced budget and protecting the long-term health of our general fund are priorities I take seriously.

I do all of this while being a wife, mother, and full-time professional. When something matters, you make the time for it. That belief is reflected in my record. I have never missed a council or committee meeting in my six years of service. Serving the people of South Euclid, and setting an example of civic engagement for my children, is deeply important to me.

Looking ahead, I am committed to continuing my service to this community and am preparing myself to be the next Mayor of South Euclid. I believe effective mayoral leadership requires: experience, collaboration, fiscal discipline, and a deep understanding of how our city works. These are qualities I have developed through years of hands-on service. My goal is not personal advancement, but to ensure stable, thoughtful leadership that builds on what works, addresses what doesn’t, and keeps South Euclid moving forward.

I am a goal-setter, a listener, and a collaborator. Whether serving on council today or preparing to serve as mayor in the future, my focus remains the same: doing what is best for the whole community, strengthening trust, and ensuring our city remains a place where families can thrive.

What I Love About South Euclid

South Euclid has been my home since 2006, and it quickly became clear why this community is so special. From the moment my husband and I bought our first home, I fell in love with the mature trees, libraries, ample playgrounds, welcoming neighbors, walkability, and so much more.

One of the things I love most about South Euclid is its commitment to families and children. As a parent, PTA President, and former Cub Scout leader, I have seen firsthand the care and dedication of teachers, volunteers, and neighbors. The collaboration I’ve witnessed across schools, families, and community organizations reinforces why this city is such a strong and caring place to raise children.

I also deeply value South Euclid’s history and character. Serving as curator for the South Euclid–Lyndhurst Historical Society has given me a unique perspective on the stories, landmarks, and traditions that make our city great. Preserving our past while planning for the future is what allows our neighborhoods to thrive.

Working on the Tree Commission and supporting Arbor Day initiatives, including tree giveaways, has reminded me how much our green spaces and natural beauty contribute to the pride residents feel in their homes and streets.

Finally, what makes South Euclid truly special is the people. Whether it’s neighbors coming together in a block club, volunteers helping seniors, or families engaging with city programs, the willingness to give back and support one another is inspiring. That spirit motivates me to serve on council, volunteer in schools and civic organizations, and work every day to ensure South Euclid remains a vibrant, welcoming, and thriving city for generations to come.
